THE SIGN FESTIVAL
10th edition

The 10th edition of the Sign Festival, increasingly widespread both territorially and temporally, starts on Friday 10 October with a dense programme of interviews, exhibition events, debates, workshop, up to the Fashion Upcycling Contest during which the participating designers will have the task of creating fashion proposals by researching vintage elements or used clothes during the Balon markets on Saturday and the Grand Balon on Sunday 12 October and using them for their creative reuse creations.

Numerous initiatives to debate and spark constructive discussion on the topics of
#sustainability, #inclusion, and the goals of Agenda 2030.

Climate change affects countries on all continents, is disrupting the planet, and our territories and their excellences derived from agriculture and viticulture are at risk. The Festival has always, since the birth of Barolo Fashion Show in 2015, focused attention on Environmental sustainability in fashion, one of the most polluting economic sectors.

SIGN FESTIVAL FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION

Respect for “others”, individual choices, and the possibility of work and social integration for any person is a duty that public and private institutions, companies, and individuals must invest in. Sign Festival puts social inclusion themes at the center, starting with the Scars project in 2018 and continues to do so with the
Inclusive design
 section of D/SIGN.

THE OBJECTIVES OF AGENDA 2030

SIGN FESTIVAL FOR
WATER CONSERVATION

The lack of water for human beings and crops in the world’s poorest continents is the commitment of A Proposito Di Altri Mondi ONLUS that the Festival has supported since 2022. During Sign Festival, the young people of the Young 4 H20 project will be active in promoting awareness actions among peers and throughout the territory on water conservation.
